The Sister Foundation
In this petition, we are not asking for money, but for support, for the Sister Foundation. The Sister Foundation is a non-profit organization started by two young sisters, both diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The Sister Foundation funds to help find a cure for diabetes.
Diabetes is a condition in which the pancreas does not produce enough or any insulin, which means glucose cannot reach blood cells in order to turn to energy. This glucose burns up and raises the blood sugar level. Without insulin, blood sugar levels will always be high.
There is no cure for diabetes, but doctors are working very hard day and night to solve this problem.
