We the undersigned, do hereby formally petition The Nominating Committee of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to nominate the rock band, The Runaways, for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Since their first self titled debut album release in 1976 the members of The Runaways: Cherie Currie, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Sandy West, and Jackie Fox have continually been a major influence in Rock & Roll. From a just a few of their many hard driving hits like,(Cherry Bomb, American Nights, California Paradise) the teenage all girl band's musical influence has resonated throughout the industry, entertaining and inspiring musicians and fans of all ages worldwide. We formally request that The Runaways be inducted under the performers category so they may claim their rightful place in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
