Guillermo Habacuc Vargas is a monster passing as an artist and must be stopped.
As part of an exhibition that saw him chosen to represent Costa Rica in the gBienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008
he tied up a street dog and let it starve to death.
Guillermo Habacuc Vargas paid 2 children to catch this dog from the streets. He then chained the dog and used the dog as gan exhibith, leaving strict instructions that the dog not be fed. The dog died in the gallery.
His justification was just to say:
"I wanted to do it to remember Mr.Natividad Canda" [A burglar killed by guard dogs]
Following this he released another statement: "I did the exhibition to show the terrible situation of street dogs".... etc...
This is not art. there is no excuse. This is the act of a monster.
