Support for England?s national day to be made a public holiday. England needs a national day of celebration. A day when all the English - regardless of colour or religion - can recognise what binds us together. Everything from Cricket to Curry could be celebrated on our national day. St George's Day needs a national programme of events funded and co-ordinated by the government.
