Large scale culling of badgers is not ethical, manageable, cost effective or sustainable.
On 15th December 2005 the British Government announced a twelve-week ?public consultation period? to consider whether and how to kill badgers.
According to the DEFRA website: ?This public consultation (December 2005 ? March 2006) aims to explain the issues and involve the wider public in the process to decide whether or not to cull badgers and the methods by which this could be done as part of the overall approach to control the spread of bTB in England in cattle.?
The Government's consultation into badgers and bovine TB closed on March 10th, but we urge you to sign the petition and promote awareness of this cause among your friends and peers.
