Jordan Rice Award

Web Site:

For those who are unaware, Jordan Rice was a 13 year old boy who was caught in the Queensland floods recently. He was in a car with his mother and little brother (Blake). When rescuers arrived, Jordan told them to get Blake out first. They did so, and when they tried to return for Jordan and his mother, the force of the water was too strong for them to reach them. Saddly, Jordan and his mother both perished in the torrent. This sort of bravery should not be forgotten. It's easy to say that Jordan will never be forgotten, but the only way to ensure this bravest of the brave is always remembered is to honour him with an award named after him. This I think should be a national award given each year to a person who shows exceptional bravery as Jordan has done. Please help this to eventuate.
