My daughter was recently sexually abused by a family member, the allegation was clearly true because she knew things that only a child of her age(13) would know if she had of been in that situation. The police where informed, they did there investigations and then it was down to Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to make the decisioin as to whether it should go to court or not, which it didn't and he was no further actioned as they call it. So justice wasn't done considering he had been doing this to her since she was just 4 years old. I believe that the power in sex offence cases should be left to the police to decide whether or not it should go to court or not. The majority of cases that the CPS are throwing out, would get a conviction of the perpetrator.
We need another 19989 signatures so that we can for the police to start deciding whether to take to court or not.
